PENGUIN STUDENT DESIGN AWARDS

The 2020 Penguin Random House Student Design Award required entrants to design the cover elements (front, back, and spine) of A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. Designing the cover for a self-proclaimed book about EVERYTHING was always going to be a huge task! I zoned in on the lighthearted tone of the book, conveying it through playful collage elements. This approach kept the design accessible and allowed it to speak to a wide audience.
